A Fábrica de Conservas La Rose - Feu Hermanos, é um edifício datado do final do século XIX, que foi restaurado e reabilitado, para as suas novas funções museológicas e culturais, tendo sido aberto ao público em 2008, como Museu de Portimão. A memória industrial conserveira e a ligação com o rio Arade, e o oceano Atlântico, são o objecto deste percurso que sublinha o papel dos homens e das mulheres, na actividade económica mais relevante do Algarve, antes da mudança para o paradigma do turismo. O museu foi premiado em 2010, com o Prémio Museu Conselho da Europa e embora um pouco distante aqui do Monte (cerca de 50km), recomendamos vivamente a quem nos visita.

The Factory La Rose Canned- Feu Hermanos, is a building dating from the late nineteenth century, restored and rehabilitated to have cultural functions, and was opened in 2008 as the Museum of Portimão. The industry memory and the link with the river Arade and the Atlantic Ocean, are the subject of this course that emphasizes the role of men and women, in the most important economic activity in the Algarve, before moving to the paradigm of tourism. The museum was awarded in 2010, by the Council of Europe Museum Prize and although a little far here from the Monte (about 50km), we strongly recommend to our visitors.
